Frostypaws 2.0 uses a cool-to-touch ice silk fabric. It feels cooler than a regular blanket as soon as your dog lies down. There's no gel, no water, no electricity and no freezing needed. Just lay it flat and let them settle in.
Will it stay cool all day?
Honest answer: no. Like any fabric mat, it's coolest when your dog first lies down and gradually settles toward body temperature the longer they stay on it. It's great for naps, quick relief after a walk and giving them a cool spot to hop onto. On very hot days, pair it with shade, fresh water and airflow. If your dog shows signs of heat stress, such as heavy panting, drooling or lethargy, contact your vet straight away.
Is there a gel layer inside?
No. Frostypaws 2.0 is a lightweight fabric mat with no gel insert. That's what makes it light, foldable and machine washable. If you're after a thick, heavy gel mat, this isn't it.
How do I wash it?
It's machine washable. Use a gentle cycle, follow the care label and let it air dry.
What size is it, and will it fit my dog?
It measures 100 x 70cm, which suits large dogs and gives medium dogs plenty of room to stretch out. Got two dogs? Many owners pick up one each so nobody has to share.
Is it chew-proof?
No, it's not chew-proof. Please supervise puppies and dogs that like to chew their bedding.
